At Powerhouse Catering & Events, our story is built on passion, hustle, and heart — and it all began in a restaurant.
Years before Powerhouse was born, I fell in love with the energy of the food world. I got my start in the industry early on, and never looked back. I met my husband working in a local restaurant, and even while raising our first two kids, I stayed in catering because I loved it — the pace, the people, the behind-the-scenes moments that make events unforgettable.
We launched Powerhouse with a mission to bring fresh, feel-good food to our community. It started with a food truck and a commitment to clean eating — selling smoothies, juices, and healthy meals at over 18 farmers markets across Massachusetts every week. Those early days taught us everything: how to work hard, connect with customers, and show up with intention.
From there, we opened two café locations in Seaport Boston and Lowell, serving nourishing, chef-crafted meals to loyal locals. But we knew we wanted more. As much as we love health-focused food, we love all food — the kind that brings comfort, sparks joy, and makes events feel special. Catering became our calling, and we ran with it.
In 2021, I partnered with Laurel Morano, now our Director of Sales. We’d worked together in our twenties and shared the same belief: clients deserve more than cookie-cutter service. We built Powerhouse around the idea that every event is personal — and that food should be memorable, customizable, and crafted with care.
Today, Powerhouse is proud to be one of the top Boston caterers, offering full-service catering in Boston and throughout the surrounding areas. We do it all — corporate catering during the week, weddings and social events on weekends — and we’re proud to do both exceptionally well. We’ve curated a large, diverse menu and trained an outstanding team to deliver consistent, high-quality food whether it’s a 10-person boardroom lunch or a 200-guest celebration.
We believe catering is more than just food delivery. It’s about trust, communication, and helping you shine in front of your guests. We treat every client like a friend and every event like it’s the most important one on the calendar — because to us, it is.
